Considerable strength and reliability. The all-welded monolithic loader chassis provides stability when driving with maximum load. The U-boom features a robust design that includes a one-piece head and a solid abutment plate to reduce the number of joints. All flexible hoses for the hydraulic system of the JCB 540-140 telehandler are hidden inside the boom and are made of materials that are durable and long-lasting.
Effective work. The telescopic loaders are equipped with high-service diesel engines with a power of 63 kW, which are paired with a hydrostatic transmission. The key feature of the Dieselmax internal combustion engine is an optimized torque curve, which increases the efficiency of the engine at low revs. The transmission can be completely disabled by the operator - this mode is used when it is necessary to direct all the engine power into the hydraulic system.

LORD BAMFORD - CHAIRMAN
My father and company founder Joseph Cyril Bamford’s motto was, “Jamais content”, and that is exactly right – we are never content with our achievements. But I believe that even he would be amazed by what the company has become. Today, we have 22 plants on four continents and more than 750 dealers around the world.
